Always wanted to attend New York fashion week but have no idea how to obtain tickets or just can’t afford them at all??
I’ve got the answer you have all been looking for – VOLUNTEER!! If you are interested in this amazing opportunity, keep reading!!
If you are not a fashion week goer, you have an even more exciting opportunity to participate in the New York Fashion Week; that is, to become a NYFW volunteer, an important part of the team that makes NYFW happen every year.
As a volunteer, you will have a chance to do:
Runway Venue Preparation
Designer Guest Ushers
Backstage Assistance and Set Up
Assemble Gift Bags and Press Kits
Help maintain the main event Information Desk
Assist in the Volunteer Center
Various other tasks for the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Staff
Requirements for NYFW Fall/Winter 2013 -
The CFDA Volunteer program is an opportunity available to adults 18 years of age or older. Volunteers should be able to provide their own transportation and housing for the duration of their stay.
Please note, duties performed by volunteers vary, however there are not currently volunteer roles for stylists, dressers, photographers, models or DJs.
Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week is a private invitation-only event. Invitations are distributed by individual designers and not by the CFDA.
All resumes must be received by 5pm EST January 11, 2013 in order to considered for the Fall/Winter 2013 Collections, taking place February 7-14, 2013 in New York.
Selected candidates will be screened via a brief interview in New York City the week of January 14, 2013.
Due to the high volume of applicants, only those invited to interview will be contacted.
